Responsibilities

•With a focus on childcare, the candidate will provide exceptional after-school care for the family’s energetic 5-year-old son, while occasionally assisting with the care of their 10-year-old daughter
•Alongside childcare duties, the candidate will take on a range of household responsibilities, including cooking 2-3 meals per week after consulting with the family, handling grocery shopping (including online orders), performing laundry, cleaning bathrooms, changing bed sheets, straightening kids’ rooms, organizing different areas of the home, and cleaning up dishes after dinner
•As someone who will be cooking for the family, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from the family about food separation and the importance of a gluten-free environment, as they have a family member with Celiac disease
•They will teach you about how they separate foods in their kitchen so you must be comfortable learning about this
•The candidate will also manage incoming repair and delivery personnel and run any necessary errands
•On certain days, the candidate may be responsible for both children and should be prepared for that
•Also, flexibility and a willingness to occasionally stay late, as requested in advance by the family, including assisting with bedtime routines, will be greatly valued
•Someone to help mom “balance her mental load” and take some things off her plate
•Additionally, your kindness, thoughtfulness, and firmness when necessary will help shape the growth and development of the 5-year-old
