Responsibilities

•The Regional Director of Radiation & Imaging Support Services plays a supportive role to the Director of Radiation & Imaging Support Services as it relates to all US Oncology Radiation Oncology and Diagnostic Imaging operations within The Network
•Specifically, leading and supporting practice operations within The US Oncology Network radiation & imaging departments with capital equipment purchases and replacement, performing technology reviews and assessments for all equipment, review and management of all software and hardware utilized in a radiation or imaging department, project management for equipment and software installations, replacements, and upgrades, budgetary planning, vendor management, evaluating and assessing radiation & imaging related support and service agreements, and analysis and strategy of practice design, growth and implementations throughout The Network
•Operational Support: Responsible for leading and supporting assigned practices in the US Oncology Network across assigned regions, as it relates to day-to-day operations in a radiation and imaging department
•Provides ongoing remote practice support for navigating resources within The US Oncology Network and MSH
•Prioritize practice needs with regards to patient care, financial considerations, and US Oncology Network standards
•Plays a key role in understanding, addressing, and communicating practice needs to quickly and effectively resolve issues that could disrupt clinic operations
•Capital Equipment: Responsible for analyzing needs for related capital equipment, service contracts, and ancillary equipment or software for radiation and imaging practice departments. Understand both clinical and financial aspects for capital equipment purchases to best advise US Oncology Network radiation and imaging practices in the equipment and technology that is most applicable to meet their needs
•Capable to performing technology reviews with vendor, clinical, and business leaders to provide insight and direction for best patient care and practice growth
•Complete necessary diligence for cost estimation and comparison to set expectations for practice and MSH leadership with regards to radiation and imaging related capital projects
•Project Management: Collaborate with McKesson and US Oncology Network support teams to lead project management across all US Oncology network regions as it relates to radiation and imaging capital equipment replacements, installations, removals, and upgrades
•Support US Oncology Network practices by overseeing project plans as well as ensuring ongoing collaboration and readiness between vendors and radiation and imaging stakeholders for required projects
•Software: Responsible for leading and supporting assigned regional practices in the US Oncology network, as it relates to applicable software related upgrades, conversions, optimization implementations and education events
•Provides ongoing remote practice support by engaging vendor and US Oncology resources to ensure successful software related implementations
•Collaborate with vendor and US Oncology resources to provide practice teams with educational tools and training resources to maximize effective use of radiation and imaging related software systems
•Vendor Management: Collaborates with US Oncology Network practices, MSH support teams, and appropriate vendors to address practice needs with regards to equipment, service, software, support, training, and communication for all radiation and imaging associated products
•Serves as main point of contact between US Oncology practices and MSH team members to vendor representatives, effectively communicating US Oncology practice needs
•Plays a key role in addressing concerns with vendor supplied support per applicable contractual agreements
•Ability to travel up to 30-50% across all United States regions of the US Oncology Network, as well as to participate in internal meetings, trade shows, and educational/training sessions

Position Summary:

Minimum Requirements:
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years experience in a clinical role as a Radiation Oncology Nurse, Radiation Therapist, Medical Dosimetrist, &/or Medical Physicist

Critical Skills
• 3+ years of exposure to Radiation &/or Imaging Department Operations
• 3+ years of Clinical experience &/or Equipment and Software experience
• 3+ years project management experience (large scale projects)

Specialized Knowledge/Skills
• Preferred experience in Radiation Oncology operations (staffing, budget planning, capital equipment replacements, clinical workflow)
• Experience with meeting facilitation, both remotely and in person
• Experience working independently in a remote workplace environment
• Knowledge of major Radiation & Imaging vendor equipment platforms
• Preferred knowledge of Quality Payment Programs – Merit based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Radiation Oncology Alternative Payment Model (ROAPM)

Additional Knowledge & Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Visio, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, One Note and Sharepoint, Smartsheet Tools
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Radiation Therapy Certification preferred
