About Us:

We are Epividian, a data-driven health research and technology company, based in North Carolina, with employees across the US and Canada. Our mission is to improve the care of chronically ill individuals through state-of-the-art epidemiological research and innovative technological developments. Epividian provides data solutions to give healthcare providers and their patients direct access into their own data to support care, reimbursement, and quality measures. These data are also anonymized and aggregated into a national database to support clinical effectiveness, public health, and implementation sciences research. The Observational Pharmaco-Epidemiology Research & Analysis (OPERA) cohort consists of the electronic health records from over 900,000 individuals, including over 145,000 people with HIV, representing about 13% of people with HIV in the US.

Position: SAS Programmer & Analyst (remote)

We are looking for a SAS programmer & analyst interested in supporting diverse areas of clinical and public health research. We are a close-knit group and value collaborative working practices. Our research focuses primarily on HIV and other chronic illnesses. Improving the understanding of treatment options is a key focus, with studies assessing uptake of new regimens, comparative treatment effectiveness, and unintended effects of treatment. Identification and management of special populations, retention in care, and evaluation of technological interventions are also of interest.

• Employ programming expertise to analyze observational data in a collaborative team environment working with epidemiologists, IT/Data management, and interns.

Skills, Education, & Experience Requirements:

This position requires proficiency in the SAS programming language. Experience working with electronic health records data and large databases is required. Knowledge of medical terminology and/or HIV research is an asset. The ability to work well with coworkers, to think critically, to communicate effectively and to meet deadlines is mandatory. Experience with R or Python a plus.

This position is remote. It requires a self-starter with a secure, high-speed internet connection and a private location to work and participate in video meetings.
